Banana Chocolate Quest Pastry

Quest Pastry

  • Have you ever had a Canadian fried dough pastry before? They are yummy, but loaded with fat, sugar and calories. Today, I teach you how to make them using a Quest bar. My version has less sugar and calories and lots of protein.

Materials:

  • cookie sheet
  • rolling pin
  • plastic wrap
  • oven and microwave

This recipe makes 1 serving

calories 280, fat 9.6g, sat fat 0.5g, cholesterol: 5mg, sodium 435.3mg, carbohydrates: 35.8g, fibre 20.2g, sugars 8.6g, protein 26.3g


Written Recipe:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Place 1 vanilla almond crunch Quest Bar on a plate lined with plastic wrap. Microwave for 18 seconds.
  • Use a rolling pin to roll the heated Quest Bar into a flat oval. Sandwich the bar between 2 sheets of plastic wrap (refer to the video below).
  • Place the Quest bar into an oven friendly pan coated in non-stick cooking spray for 4 minutes.
  • Place the following into a small bowl and mix by hand to create a thick sauce
  • Slice a banana
  • Remove the Quest bar from the oven. Coat it in the PB2 sauce and top with the bananas.
  • Eat while it's still hot!
